Scott brought this beer back from his recent trip to South Carolina. He was super pumped on the fact that it was aged in red wine barrels, so we stuck it in the holding fridge and sat on it. We would look at this beer every week and ask our selves, should we do it….no not this week. Finally after about two months we have decided to pull it out of the fridge and give it a whirl. If we had any idea how amazing this beer was we would have spent that last two months trying to get a couple more bottles. Its not every day you come across a beer that makes you freak out a little.
COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Red label. This tripel has been aged for 9 months in oak barrels that were previously used to mature red wine. During the maturation period in our climate controlled barrel room, the beer picks up new flavors from the barrels and their previous contents. The origin of the barrel and the grape varietal it contained both contribute their own nuances.
